What does a broker do?


We offer a free service where we approach the whole of the medical insurance market and find you the best deal to suit your requirements.



What does a private medical insurance policy include?


Good question!  The majority of insurers have now taken a very modular approach to their products, so it's possible to include just the benefits you require.  However, a standard plan will include consultations with a specialist, diagnostics to identify what the problem may be, and in or day patient treatment to carry out surgery etc. 


This will all take place in a state of the art private hospital facility and you may also choose to add further benefits such as physiotherapy, mental health and optical/dental if required.



You say your service is free, so how do you get paid?


Insurers have a pot of money which they use to promote their products.  This may be via advertising, or by paying brokers a commission when they place business with them, which is how we receive payment for our services.



If I already have medical insurance, can I move insurer?


Most of the time you can.  It would depend on your claims history and the nature of any claims, but it's only very serious health issues that tend to prevent the ability to move, and then it would depend on when the treatment took place.



Which insurers do you work with?


We have agencies in place with the majority of insurers, including some niche providers.  We also have some special arrangements available to us, which not all brokers have access to.



Is there any advantage to me paying the premiums through my business?


Absolutely!  By setting up, or moving to, a 'group' policy, you are likely to receive favourable rates and in some cases, enhanced benefits.



If I move insurer, will the policy have to be underwritten again, and could I lose cover for conditions which are currently included in my existing policy?


We would never look to move you if it would have a negative impact on the existing cover.  However, in these circumstances, it's possible to appoint us as the broker on your current policy and we may be able to negotiate a better deal with them on your behalf, by using the market feedback we receive during the free review.



Do you offer any other products?


Yes, we can provide life cover, relevant life cover (which is payable by a business), income protection and critical illness cover.  Please don't hesitate to ask as quotes and advice on these services are also free to you or your business.
